Tried out cooking my own soap, all organic ingredients of course. Such a great and rewarding experience, try it out yourself! - Sandalwood - Latakia/Vanilla - Lemon - Coconut - Mango - Patchouli - Fruity Mint (Orange)

Made some of my "curry" but this time I tried out smoked tofu instead of the usual chicken. I can live with the taste but don't like the texture of tofu. The upside is: I get t try some other alternative versions of my curry! And would you please look at that fantastic naan I made? Of course with garlic, butter and some fresh parsley on top.

There's very little thats more fulfilling than eating a piping hot, slightly spicy soup of pumpkin, ginger and coconut milk (of course with some pumpkin seed oil on top) after being out in the cold the whole day. Still using some of my own homegrown ginger btw! Here's the recipe in .txt format

While it's already spring in my kitchen (see last post ) it's very much still winter outside! And tonight I was surprised with unusual heavy snowfall for you know.. right inside a larger city. I immediately grabbed a jumper (pullover for the burgers) and some gloves to venture outside. I love the feeling of freshly fallen snow crunching under my boots and the silence that comes with a heavy snowfall. On my way back home I felt like buiding a snowman to maybe make some people smile today. Snow will usually melt within a few hours from all the heat inside the city and that small thing named climate change. Seriously, I distinctly remember how I spent my childhood's winter days in the forest with soo much snow everywhere every single day. It wasn't a question of if there'd be snow only how much. Nowadays it's a rarity for snow to last longer than a day - if at all - before it melts away :( Anyway, I hope the snowman lasts a bit longer and some people may find some joy in it

Spring has come early in my flat! My bellis' perennis plants are all in full bloom but this particular specimen has the most abundant flowers, I counted ten flowers and about 20 new flowers forming. Grown from seed under some Samsung LM301B LED's.

Look at how much trash I've collected while on a stroll through the nature conservation area (Naturschutzgebiet) NSG-VO-HA-191 Alte Leine in Hanover. I did not bring the trash bags, they were already there ;(

Look at how happy I am to have found a cow willing to get petted by me! I met this lovely - as of yet unnamed - cow while doing some light running and quickly gained her trust by offering some fresh ungrazed grass from the side it couldn't reach. If you's like to see a video of me petting it head on over to reddit where I posted to /r/happycowgifs

Washing machine broke and I didn't feel like replacing it but choose to use public ones instead from now on.Living directly in the center of a large city has its perks but abundant space is not one and I can really use the additional 80x80cm space for something else.

Yeah, so I completely forgot to post any new pictures here so now you get a bunch of 'emto make up for it.
Let's start of with one of my all time favorite dishes, fresh homemade Pesto alla Genovese! Relatively quick and easy to make, especially if you use some sort of blender instead of a mortar but with a mortar you'll get better results, I promise! I always have some basil at hand and sometimes when it get's out of hand and needs a good pruning it's pesto time :)

Bosnia and Herzegovina
I spent a few days in Bosnia and got to play with some piglets at the farm of some relatives. They were extremly shy and distrustful but they were castrated just the day before so I couldn't exactly fault them for that, could I?

I love pasta, like a lot.. and I love cooking! Today I made some fresh Tagliatelle which is my go to pasta when making things fresh because it's quick and easy. I also tried myself on some Farfalle which, let me tell you, are a bitch to form by hand. From now on I'll reserve fresh Farfalle for special occasions as it took me nearly an hour and a half to make enough Farfalle for three persons, not including the time to prepare the dough. But the timing wasn't an issue, I had to wait for the sauce to simmer no matter what. I served them with my Ragu Bolognese, made with San Marzano tomatos which are a bit sweeter than usual tomatos. Tip: Add a dash of cinnamon and a small amount of dark chocolate to your Bolognese for the special something.
